Part of Behavioural Skins a research, design and innovation project.
Funded by Building(s) Tomorrow AWS, we are researching the potential of monolithic 3D-printed sand-building assets to contribute to a circular economy of materials and better our urban environments for a passively conditioned city of tomorrow.
BRIAN is being displayed at

03 -07 Sept
Ars Electronica Festival 2025
BRIAN, Ultraviolets Futures
See BRIAN at this year's ARS ELECTRONICA FESTIVAL in Linz, accompanied by our Technology Partner, Voestalpine. Together, we will showcase one of the world's largest architectural 3D-sand printed, self-supporting, & load-bearing walls! It consists of 40 modular and interlocking building blocks that explore how physical, digital, and cultural infrastructures evolve, endure, and are reimagined through time, material, and design.
We can’t wait to reveal more about BRIAN and the exciting collaborations behind it.
The exhibit is the culmination of a radically artistic, scientific, and architectural research project we have been working on over the past year, funded by AWS, Austria Wirtschaftsservice, as part of the Building(s) Tomorrow Program.
